Sarita Shrestha is renowned in Nepal as their first female Ayurvedic physician. A Doctor of Ayurveda who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, she also has a diploma in acupuncture and a certificate in yoga therapy. 

Trained in both classical Ayurveda and allopathic medicine Dr. Sarita has a unique capacity to help Westerns integrate the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. She has been in clinical practice as a physician for more than 25 years and provides free healthcare services to thousands of people in India and Nepal. She is Founder/Director of the Devi Ma Kunja and Ayurveda Rural Hospital in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur.​
